As the Marketing Coordinator and Business Development Officer for Tourism & Culture for the City of Greater Sudbury, I have over 10 years experience working within the Tourism sector, including pan-northern programs. I have a broad understanding of the Ontario tourism sector and the expectations of tourism stakeholders and visitors both domestically and internationally.
I have had the opportunity to be a part of NeONT’s inception in 2012, and transitioned the Northeast NORTA offices into RTO13A, serving as an interim coordinator during this transition period until the first NeONT Executive Director was hired in early 2013.
From my earlier days in 2006 as Coordinator of the Ontario’s North Marketing Partnership program until the RTO transition in 2012, and my ongoing involvement with the Destination Ontario Northern Office (formerly OTMPC) and Regional Tourism organizations I offer extensive experience in the tourism industry in terms of both marketing and product development.
Over the past decade I have developed many relationships with industry players and collaborated with colleagues and stakeholders on various tourism related initiatives both pan-northern and within the northeast in the areas of culinary, cultural, outdoor, cycling, and built attractions, to a diverse audience of consumers, including leisure & business travelers, travel media, travel trade and international visitors.
I truly enjoy working within the Tourism industry and am honoured to sit on the Board of Director for Northeastern Ontario Tourism to help grow our sector.
