Back in the fall, the grade 1 and 2 class from M.T. Davidson Public School took a field trip to the Callander Museum where they spent their time learning about their local history and about the geology of the area. When they returned to class they drew a picture of their favourite thing they saw at the museum and these pieces of artwork are going to be featured on the walls in the Alex Dufresne Gallery this January and February!

Please join us for the opening reception on Saturday January 26th from 2:00 to 4:00pm as we celebrate these creative works and the eager young minds who crafted them! There will be light refreshments and no admission (donations always welcome). The show will remain on display until February 23 and the museum and gallery is open all winter long Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 5:00pm.

We hope that you can make it and we’re curious… what’s YOUR favourite thing at the museum? 🙂

**special thanks to Kandyd from the Nipissing Rock and Mineral Club for helping us out and leading the geology activities during the field trip.
