Join the Fun

Festival Season Has Entered the Chat

From the Bay Block Party in North Bay to the Up Here Festival in Sudbury to Mattawa Voyageur Days, The Seven in Summer is a premier destination for outdoor events. Take in the Northern Lights Festival Boréal, Canada’s longest continually running outdoor music festival or camp at the River & Sky Festival for laid-back good times on the Sturgeon River.

Celebrate love and equality at one of the region's many pride festivals like Fierté Timmins Pride. Support Cochrane's resident polar bears at the Bearfest Concert & Mega Truck Racing. Or kick back with a tailgate party at the Kap Kraze Country Derby!

Away from the crowds further south, you’ll find a wide range of accommodation and dining options to complement your festival getaway.

The stage at night for Rock on the River

Rock on the River

Rock on the River turns Hollinger Park into Timmins' loudest weekend every July, and 2026 marks the festival's 10th anniversary. Two nights, two genres: rock on Friday, country on Saturday, with the Mattagami River as backdrop. Volunteer-run by the Timmins Festivals and Events Committee, it's been growing its lineup and its reputation in equal measure for a decade. This one goes late!

Crowds on the street in North Bay for the Bay Block Party

Bay Block Party

This free, all-ages, all-day street festival takes over downtown North Bay every late August. Multiple stages feature local musicians throughout the day, with a national headliner in the evening. Craft breweries, food vendors, and artisan markets fill the surrounding blocks.

Up Here Fest

One of the most exciting events in Northern Ontario, Up Here is an urban arts and emerging music festival that uses all of downtown Sudbury as its venue — alleyways, rooftops, storefronts, parking lots, and amphitheatres are all activated simultaneously over three days. Founded in 2015 by the non-profit We Live Up Here, the festival combines 50+ live music performances with large-scale murals painted in real time and has produced over 90 permanent public artworks across the city!

Dancers at a Pow Wow in North bay

Pow Wows

You can generally find a pow wow any weekend from June through late August across Northeastern Ontario, and if you've never been, this is the year to go. Each community's celebration is distinct, honouring ancestors through music, dance, food, and storytelling, and it’s a great privilege to experience. On Manitoulin Island, the Wiikwemikoong Annual Cultural Festival is one of the largest, longest-running pow wows in North Eastern North America!
