Located in the historic Canadian pacific Railway station, the North Bay Museum strives to fulfill its mission to “inspire the discovery of the people and places of North Bay’s past and present” through programming and exhibits. The museum includes a blend of interactive and artifact based exhibits designed to appeal to audiences of all ages.

Long term exhibits include: The History of North Bay: North Bay’s rich history begins with the Nipissing people and progresses through time with a focus on local industrial and military history. A model train circles the museum on a track located above displays, and visitors can try a variety of interactive displays including a historic gas pump model. Main Street, North Bay: Step back in time in this immersive exhibit that brings visitors onto the streets of North Bay’s downtown during the 1920s – 1940s. Displays include miniature storefronts based on historic downtown businesses, a theatre, and more!

Visit the museum’s gift shop for a variety of North Bay souvenirs, including t-shirts, magnets, postcards, keychains, books and more. We also have a wide selection of model trains, landscaping supplies, and model airplanes.
