“As we navigate through the Covid-19 pandemic its important to understand that First Nation communities have a vulnerable population that is susceptible to contracting this deadly virus. Our leadership has been taking proactive measures throughout this pandemic to protect our citizens and our most vulnerable. Wiikwemkoong is home to an abundance of language speakers, knowledge keepers and elders that carry the gifts that sustain our Anishinabek way of life. It is important to Wikwemikong Tourism that we work collaboratively with our agencies to protect the very fabric that is Indigenous Tourism-the people.

Wikwemiokng Tourism has created a guide of community owned “Tourist Friendly” attractions and services that are open for the 2020 season. Please visit our website at www.wiikwemkoong.ca/tourism for complete list of privately owned operators. We ask
visitors to the community to respect our protocols and safety measures that have been put in place to protect our citizens.”
