Northeastern Ontario Tourism, in partnership with Tourism North Bay and Destination Ontario, welcomes Emily Batty to North Bay to experience the community’s mountain bike trail network.

Emily Batty is a Canadian professional athlete that rides for Canyon Mountain Bike team and Redbull. She is a gold medal National Champion, competed in two Olympics and is a two-time World Champion. Batty won the silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and is the current gold medal champion from the Pan American Games held in Toronto, her home country, in 2015.

With close ties to Northern Ontario, Batty is pleased to visit North Bay and share her experiences with her over 500,000 avid mountain bike followers combined, as well as meet with local fans at a meet-and-greet on Saturday, September 10th at 12:30 pm at the Three Tower Trails, 1598 Tower Dr #1630, North Bay, ON.

The Three Tower Trails were designed and built by volunteers of the North Bay Mountain Bike Association and follow International Mountain Biking Association standards for sustainable use. The Three Towers trails offer excellent flow, unique rock features, and extremely fun riding. There is currently over 5km of trail in addition to a trailhead pump track on this brand-new network. Trails range from beginner to difficult and offer an excellent ride in both directions. The Hillside Lake Trail takes you to a stunning lookout over Hillside Lake. Trail expansion is underway this fall to offer more riding opportunities for the upcoming season.

The North Bay Mountain Bike Association supports Mountain Bike Skill development in the community with programs for women, youth and weekly social rides.  A weekly race series was hosted locally with Angry Johnny’s Racing Club, drawing participants from Sudbury and Huntsville.
