Fishing Report: Rain Didn’t Stop the Walleye

By Northeastern Ontario Tourism June 2, 2017

Opening weekend has come and gone, and your BIG catch pictures are rolling in from across Northeastern Ontario! Not just opening weekend for walleye, fishing lodges from the French River to Cochrane opened their doors, launched their boats, and fired up the pans on the Victoria Day long weekend.

Anglers braved rain, but thankfully little to no bugs. The drizzle couldn’t put a damper on what turned out to be a highly successful weekend of fishing throughout the region.
